I’m David (25 years old).

I consider myself as a friendly but shy young man. I dream everyday with a new adventure and I rest only when I make it real. “Living one day at the same time” is my purpose of life.

I was born in Neiva, Colombia, but I spent all my life in the capital of my beautiful country, Bogotá. This amazing country has thousands of places to go and enjoy. I hope one day to know each corner of this paradise.

I’m the youngest of three brothers. The youngest but the craziest too. Family is definitely the basis of my life. I have a family of blood here in Colombia and USA, but I also have a family all around the world, which is, people believing that traveling and knowing new places, cultures, languages and lifestyles, is the key to reach the success, wisdom and happiness.

Languages and traveling are my biggest passions. I left my life to turn my dream into my lifestyle. I speak three languages and know three countries but this is just the beginning. Let’s eat the world!

My purposes every morning:
- Travel all around the world because each place has something te teach you.
- Love every living being in te world because love purifies thoughts.
- Learn and teach as much as you can because there are more generations coming to life.
- Throw away everything that impoverishes your soul because the hatred is a huge cancer.
- Live, because life is only one.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is for me more than just a place to sleep. This is a great opportunity to expand my perspective about this beautiful world. I want to show that differences coming from cultures or countries are not an excuse to dig abysses between us but an amazing reason to share about our lives, our countries and invite others to do the same.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This took place in 2017. I traveled to Bolivia as part of a volunteering program. Living for one year in the middle of the jungle, taking baths with snakes and alligators, and sleeping with the cooing of jaguars, are just a small corner of this dangerous but amazing and enriching experience. I definitely recommend you to live this journey.
