About Me

Hi there! Please read all of this before requesting a stay.

About me:

Open minded, chill and fun.
I love getting out of my routine, getting to know new places and people and I believe that sharing is a very caring gesture.
In Copenhagen I live in a big old house, which runs as a community. We are 13 people in all ages sharing everyday life, a lifestyle I can certainly advocate for! Sometimes our house is open for people looking for a place to stay, and during other periods we already have friends or family staying in our guest room.
I've been lucky to have the possibility to travel a lot during the past ten years and I've been welcomed in so many places and cultures that are so different from what I've grown up in. Anytime I have the time and means to give some of that goodwill back to the world, I'm down.

About the people in the house:
In our community we are 13 people, the two youngest in our group are boys aged 4 and 7, and the oldest person is fifty-something (who counts?).
Its a big house with lots of different energies, sometimes it's more calm, other times the kids (and childlike adults) are playing around in the common areas.
Sometimes people are eager to hangout and at other times people just wanne chill in their own space. I guess most people are like that, all I'm saying is that you cannot neccesarily expect that people are down for hanging out.
REALLY IMPORTANT: We are a LGBT+ friendly community, and we dont accept guests that aren't allies.

About the house:
We have two toilets and only one shower, but people in the house have really different schedules, so queue is rarely a problem.
We have a big kitchen with all the stuff neccesary to cook your favorite meals. You are welcome to use our facilities during your stay, but we expect that you buy your own food and that you clean up after yourself.
Smoking is an outdoor thing, luckily we have a big nice garden.

About the room:
You'll stay in our guest room which is a small space with a double bed and a bit of room to put your stuff. The room has an entrance with a curtain (not an actual door) to our laundry room (which has a door to the hallway), so you can expect that people might enter the room in the morning to do laundry. We dont do laundry after 9 pm in the evening, but people might still enter the room to pick up a towel or something like that. If you are an early bird, we'll just let people know to be quiet while doing their thing.

Extra thoughts on this whole couchsurfing thingy:
Our group of people have decided that we can host up to two couchsurfers at a time and that we can offer you to stay for three nights. We also decided that we only host couchsurfers for one period every month, as we dont wanna turn our house into a hostel.

I will be your contact person while you're here. If I have the time and if you feel like it, I would love to take you out and about in the city during your stay.

Looking forward to meeting all of you lovely strangers <3
