Overview
About Me
I'm a very laid back person so I don't set any rules for my guests, except obvious things like not causing any damage to my place. I also don't like it when people smoke tobacco at my place. I spent my childhood in Holland Belgium and England (I also lived in China for a year) so there's not much about other cultures than can shock me. Growing up like this made me learn three languages as a child and has also given me both the interest and the ability to learn even more languages. You could say it has shown me how enriching it is to reach into the unknown, if you don't think that sounds too cheesy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a frequent traveler and I love meeting new people. Reducing the cost of traveling is of course also a bonus. I first got the idea of trying couch surfing after I tried hitchhiking and realised that it's not actually a bad thing to reach out to strangers. Since I have no car I decided this would be the best way of 'giving back'.
Interests
I'm quite an adventurous person and I like seeing new things. I'm very interested in music and I play several instruments, but mainly drums.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mainly like music that has some 'soul' in it, like reggae, funk, jazz, soul (obviously), blues, etc. My favourite artists include, Sly & the family Stone, James Brown, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Jerry Reed, Fela Kuti and the Meters .
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I hitchhiked from Holland to Morocco, paying only to get on the ferry to cross the Mediterranean and one night in a hotel.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show people around if I have time, and I can cook if I'm not low on money.
