About Me

Hello there! My name is Miguel and I am 27 years old. During these last two years I had a great experience working and travelling in Spain and UK, I had the opportunity to meet great new people and improve my world's vision. In the future, I would like to still learn from life travelling and making new friends all around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently I am looking for some couch in Auckland, New Zealand. I got a Working Holiday Visa so my plan is to stay in the country for at least 6 months. I just would like to find some place to stay at my arrival and start meeting nice people!

Interests

I specially like music and playing guitar, and I love meeting new people and discover different lifestyles. I feel like the more I learn from different cultures the more adapted to change I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to different music styles, mainly rock and electronic music. You can easily find me listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Parliament or Funkadelic, great guitarists like Frank Zappa, John Fruciante and Ry Cooder, progressive rock bands like Yes, King Crimson or Pink Floyd, electronic stuff like Gold Panda, Boards of Canada or just something I have never heard before!

My favorite movie is "Novecento", directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. I like great directors of all kinds like Woody Allen, Luis Buñuel, Coppola or John Waters.

About reading, I like well known writers like Poe, Oscar Wilde and Mark Twain and contemporary authors like Palahniuk or Eduardo Mendoza. I also like to read articles and philosophical stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once travelled by hot air balloon! Pretty cool experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am more than happy to teach guitar or ukulele to anyone who wants to! I am opened to do some language exchange if you agree as well. Spanish is my mother tongue.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Apart from guitar lessons (or jams if you play music), language exchange and some beers (of course), I am willing to help at any time on domestic tasks, even if you need help fixing anything or keeping your garden, you can count on me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, United Kingdom
