Overview
About Me
My name is Ophélie, I’m 29 years old and I come from Belgium. After several years living in Brussels, where I worked in hospitality as well as a florist and manager of a fresh flower shop, I decided to take a break and travel through Southeast Asia with my boyfriend.
I’m a curious, sociable and easygoing person. I love talking, learning, laughing, cooking and discovering different ways of living.
I spent more than 20 years playing field hockey, and today I still enjoy running, trail running, walking in nature and spending time with animals. I also like reading and drawing (in my own slow creative way!) and I love cooking — the one activity I always have energy for, even on quieter days. And if I had to mention one weakness… definitely cheese!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because traveling isn’t only about taking pictures or visiting famous places. I want to meet people, understand cultures from the inside, share real moments and learn along the way. Couchsurfing allows travelers to connect with locals and experience a country more authentically, simply and humanly. It’s also a way for me to travel on a reasonable budget, as I have other future projects in Europe.
