I'm mixed, my grandmother was Japanese and my grandfather was Peranakan, mom's half of each, and I never really knew my dad's(my mom's a single parent) So I'm kinda 1/4 Jap and 3/4 Peranakan(Malaysian/Eurasian/Singaporean/Nyonya I guess. Somehow average fluency in Japanese because I've been taught to speak from childhood by my patriotic uncle and family-ish but it takes awhile for me to recognize kanji and romanji. But I hail from Singapore nonetheless.
