I just finisht my education: teacher in social studies/sociology in Leeuwarden. For now I temporarily live with my parents, they have a Bed & Breakfast.
I have traveled through the United States and the Caribbean for 3 months, from January to April, because I love to travel.

I'm spontaneous, happy, helpful and I work hard to achieve goals. Sometimes I'm a little bit stubborn, but I like to learn from other people.

I like to read, watch movies, meeting up with friends and meet new people.
I also like running, playing soccer and cycling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to explore cities/places in the world through the eyes of people who live there. I think this is more fun than only follow touristic highlights. It's a nice way to meet up with new people and share experiences!

Music: I like all kinds of music, but mostly I forget the title and artist of the song.
Some of them: Kensington, The Script, Alain Clark, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran.

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, The notebook, Oceans (11, 12, 13), Troy, Catch me if you can, Brokeback Mountain, Intouchables (and a lot more).

Books: I like the books by Nicci Gerard, Nicci French, Khaled Hosseini, J.K. Rowling, and books about social studies, for example about criminology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Ethiopia, with a group of Dutch teachter students. We met 2 times before our journey, so I met a lot of new people!
In Ethiopia some Ethiopian students helpt us out to prepare lessons. We gave lessons in pairs (one Ethiopean student and one Dutch student) to children in primary school.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
The Dutch and Frisian language, something about the Dutch society and how to make great little snacks/bites.

Learn:
My goal is to learn to play the guitar, to learn Italian and to travel on my own.
