Hello!
My name is Liliane, I am a student in science, and I am going to university in the fall of 2015.
Travelling is a new passion that I developed during a trip in Banff, Canada, where I stayed in a wonderful hostel, and did snowboarding in the Rockies. I also went in Florida, and the beach was just awesome. I also went to visit the Universal Studio, where I saw the reproduction of Hogwarts, a huge castle, and since I am of fan of Harry Potter, it was simply legendary. Presently (summer of 2015) I am in Europe for my first big backpacking trip, that is going to last 2 months, and is surely not going to be my last one!
I really like sports, it is one of my biggest passion, this is why I am going to study this field in a university in Montreal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like to meet new people, because I believe everyone has a story that is worth listening to, and there are so many things to learn from other people! In the previous trips I did, I spoke to many travellers, that made me realize how meeting new people from different part of the world is rewarding in so many ways!
On the other hand, I want to meet local people, so that I can learn and experience the culture of the country. I also like to know people from the city, because I would like to know the incite of the most awesome places to visit, which are not always the most touristics.

Interests

Well travelling, of course! I also like hiking, enjoy life, and meet new people!
other than that, I also really like dogs!
Regarding sports, soccer, hockey, snowboarding, touch-football (a version of american football for girls), are part interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Is this really a question? If I were to tell you all of my favorite movies and book, it would take you all night to read through this profile!
But basically, I LOVE the Harry Potter saga, it is just the most awesome books EVER! I read them at least 4 times each, and still, it is not enough!
I also love the Hunger Games books, as well as the Divergent s. During summer, I read more romantic and girly books, like The Summer I Turned Pretty (every girl should read those books!).
Regarding the movies, I honestly like them all (almost), because every movie has something special that I enjoy. I also love TV shows, like How I Met Your Mother (suit up!), Pretty Little Liars, Suits, Vampire Diaries, and more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I realized one of my dreams in the summer of 2014, which was to surf! I surfed on the beach in Florida, US, and it was an amazing experience! I rent a surf board ( the ones for the beginners are so big!) and carried it all the way to the beach. Then, I jumped in the hot water, and went for it. It was not a huge wave like in the movies, it was pretty small indeed, but still, it was hard, but I succeeded! I got up and surfed like a pro (or maybe it was just my imagination hahah)! I am going to do this sport again during my life, for sure!
