About Me

I am an English teacher who works in a private school, from March to December. I also work at home as a private teacher, sitting my students for International exams at University of Cambridge. I love animals, I have two lovely and sociable dogs, they are mongrels. I am divorced without children. I live in a big flat in a very nice area in Montevideo, called Parque Rodó. I consider myself a very sociable and easy going woman, however, I can be a bit strict at times, especially with myself. I am also a Social Communication Science Technician. I have a big family, many cousins, but my close one is my mother, sister, who is a doctor, my brother who is a Informatic Engineer, my sister in law, a biology teacher, my niece who lives in Spain, and my nephew.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and exchange different points of views and cultures. I would be pleased to go sightseeing my hometown with foreigners, as well as other interesting areas in my country and for those interested in getting to know the reality, to show the real life of other people. Also I am planning to travel to the UK in the near future and I would love to meet people from there.

Interests

I have many different interests. I do drama and I belong to a group of drama. We travel every two year to a different city, particularly in Argentina. I love cooking, going to restaurant, dancing, reading. I am an animal lover and I am an activist for their rights. I am a volunteer in a Non Governmental Organization, called Animales Sin Hogar. I am also interested in environment, history, psychology, Neurolinguistic. I love going to the theatre and the cinema. I like drinking beer and good red wine. I do not eat meet but fish and seafood. I love football and tennis.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am keen on listening to all types of music, but my favourite ones are Queen, Rod Stewart, Elton John, The Carpenters, Iron Maiden among many. From my country I like, "La vela puerca" and "No te va a gustar". As far favourite movies are concerned, I would probably choose, "In the name of Rose" and "In the name of the father". Concerning series, I love "Wire in the blood" "The big Bang Theory" and of course "Friends". Books any of Harry Potter but my favourite writer is Shakespeare, so I have read a lot about his work. Then I have read many books in Spanish such as "Educar sin culpa", "Tus zonas erróneas", and any relating to education and difficulties at learning.
