Me llamo Eduard y nací y crecí en Barcelona. Viví un año en Estados Unidos cuando tenía 13 años.

Decidí hace mucho tiempo que dondequiera que pase tiempo en mi vida, ya sea en el trabajo, la universidad, la escuela, jugando deportes en equipo... tengo que hacer amigos, o al menos conectar con alguien con quien mantendré el contacto de por vida. Si no, siento que la experiencia no habrá valido completamente la pena.

Dicho esto, mi objetivo en este viaje por Latinoamérica es conocer gente nueva, aprender sobre la cultura local y descubrir diferentes formas de vivir. Porque no me creo eso de que la forma en que vivo en Barcelona sea la única opción que existe.

My name is Eduard and I was born and raised in Barcelona. I lived for a year in the States when I was 13.

I decided a long time ago that wherever I spend time in my life, whether it's at work, uni, school, playing team sports... I've gotta make friends, or at least connect with someone I'll keep in touch with for life. Otherwise, I feel like the experience wasn't fully worth it.

Having said that, my goal on this trip around Latam is to meet new people, learn about the local culture, and discover different ways of living. Because I'm not buying into the idea that the way I live back in Barcelona is the only option out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Como dije, ¡animo a todo el mundo a venir a visitar Barcelona! SIN EMBARGO, por favor hazme un favor y pregúntale a la gente local por lugares que representen la verdadera esencia de la ciudad. No te limites a las recomendaciones más turísticas.

Te digo esto porque es por eso que estoy en Couchsurfing. No tiene sentido visitar un lugar sin conocer a la gente local, la comida, sus tradiciones, su idioma, su forma de pensar... ¡Estoy buscando gente que pueda enseñarme todas esas cosas!

As I said, I encourage everybody to come and visit Barcelona! HOWEVER, please do me favour and ask to the local people for places which represent the real essence of the city. Don't get limited to the most touristic recommendations.
I'm telling you this because that's why I'm on Couchsurfing. It makes no sense to visit a place without getting to know the local people, the food, their tradition, their language, their way of thinking... I’m looking for people who can teach me all those things!!!
