Hi there !

My name is Paige and I just booked my one-way ticket to Rome, Italy with my best friend, Shayna, for November 2015!

Shayna is 18 and is currently working as an artist and manager of a jewelry store while saving money to go to college. She is fluent in English, practices Sign Language in English, and is learning Italian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We heard about Couchsurfing through a friend who has a lot of traveling experience. It sounded like a fun way to really experience a countries culture and to meet awesome locals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something amazing that I have done is travel to Mexico and the Dominican Republic to build homes for families in need. I have done this through an organization called Live Different and have been on 5 trips. You can see pictures from my trip uploaded to our Profile Pictures.

Teach, Learn, Share

Shayna has many skills in the arts and can teach a variety of traditional arts native to our area. She can bead loom, quilt, carve wood and stone, and wood burn! She is currently taking a college class in Gemology and metal work. She is known in our home town for doing large canvas water colour and acrylic paintings/portraits. You can see some of Shayna's artwork uploaded to our profile pictures.

We both are able to speak and teach English and are interested in learning Italian.

Paige specializes in working with children and youth as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our humour and fun personalities with hosts. We can clean as well and would love to make our host(s) a traditional Canadian dish.
