My name is Martin. I am ca 30 years old and have spent a few of those years travelling our globe - the most rewarding years of my life. I am now working on my PhD in Social Anthropology in Bergen.

Currently, however, I am in California as part of my PhD research. I am looking into assisted conception and how people think about genetic continuity in terms of identity and kinship. I am getting around by car and want to use couchsurfing as a way to meet friendly and interesting people while making my way around California!

In Bergen I live in a cozy little apartment right next to Lille Lundgårdsvann. There's also a bunch of pigeons outside because some sneaky people keep feeding them every single day right outside. I've almost caught them a few times. If I host you, if you want, we can go hunting (for the people feeding the pigeons, not the pigeons), but we can also do other stuff.

Oh, and I live with a four-legged furry person called Oscar who only says meow.

I'm here to give back to the Couchsurfing community, as a thank you to everyone who's let me crash on their couch over the years. Discovering new places is great, but I've always found that people are what makes traveling worth it in the end.
