Kurt Vonnegut, John Steinbeck, Willem Frederik Hermans, Gerard Reve, Haruki Murakami, Jean Peaul Sartre to name a few writers whose stories have stayed with me. As far as music goes, mainly electronic music, idm/ambient stuff like Aphex Twin or Autechre and beyond that mainly "UK bass inspired" music like Burial, Four Tet, Zomby.
