About Me
HI! Our names are Julia and Steve. We are a couple in our early 20's from Berkeley Heights, NJ that are looking to travel the world before we enter the workforce. We both go to Seton Hall University. Julia is majoring in Elementary Education, Special Education, Environmental Science, and minoring in Mathematics. She's also a licensed cosmetologist. Steve is an accountant for a large public company. Together we have seen a smattering of places in the US, Canada, Mexico, and DR. We hope to venture further into the world to experience new cultures, foods, and people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are brand new to couchsurfing!
This summer we are planning on spending six weeks backpacking through Europe. We want to see as much of the world as we can before we enter the workforce. Some of the places that we want to see are: Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris, Rome, Venice, Milan, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Dublin, Brussels, and Amsterdam. We are thrilled at the possibility to see this much of the world and meet some locals who will help guide us on our way!
We cannot host right now as we still live with Steve's parents, so we live by their rules. Once we have fled the nest we will open our home to hungry and tired surfers from around the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: We are open minded in this department. Consistent all time favorites are the beatles and the eagles, as well as billie holiday.
current favorites are bob dylan, arlo guthrie, and bread.
Books: Right now we're reading For Whom the Bell Tolls (hemingway) and American Sniper (Chris Kyle). We love reading the classics, but Julia also loves reading Dr. Seuss and the like.
Movies: We watch them infrequently. All time favorites: Blow and a Christmas Story
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing things are yet to come.
Just a few so far:
Picnicing under a plethora of cherry blossoms at Branchbrook Park
Discovering Poutine in Montreal
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Between the two of us, anything about children, makeup or hair, budgeting, finance, baseball, or american football.
Would love to learn about peoples customs, foods, history, cultures, foods (did I say foods yet?) and foods.
