I've never tried this before, but I'm very attracted to the idea of experiencing a new place from a local's perspective. I want to go to the places off the beaten path and see it from the eyes of someone who knows it from the bottom up.

My favorite artists are Ella Fitzgerald, Astrud Gilberto, Billy Joel, Brooke Waggoner, Dolly Parton, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra, Royksopp, James Taylor, Jamiroquai, Johnny Cash, Julie London, Luciano Pavarotti, Nat King Cole, and Sergio Mendes. I lean towards jazz, but generally love listening to any music but rap.

As far as movies, my top are CLUE, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Poseidon Adventure, Cleopatra, Rear Window, Doubt, anything Pixar, and anything James Bond.

I love biographies on just about anyone. My favorite book is The Twenty One Balloons, and My Antonia is a close second.
