Hi!!!
My name is Kamila, I come from Poland, currently live and work in Wales :). This summer I finished my BA in Fine Art at Aberystwyth University and in August I'm setting off to see the world :D. Travelling is what gives inspiration, it teaches me loads (I'd like to think that it makes me smarter :D), it allows me to meet people who I can learn from!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that one of the factors which makes each place on Earth so different from the rest of them is people who live there. I would love to meet people who live in different places than I do, who visited different places, who like sharing experiences and a nice a cup of coffee, who would enjoy a nice meal (I cook very often and enjoy cooking for people :D)

兴趣

Photography is my great passion. During my degree I focused my studies on photography - I work in both analogue and digital medium. I did a little bit of painting as well, wasn't very successful but still I find it very interesting what other people can create and what they are capable of! I had a little bit of music education before I started university, back in Poland, I was in the Music School studied classical singing (proper opera style ;)) and I played piano quite a bit - that's where my interest in classical music (opera mainly) comes from.

Favourite music - all sorts of Rachmaninoff's compositions. When listening to his music I think about the sense of belonging. The sense of being. The sense of existing.
In terms of modern music - love Zaz. Her voice, her musicality, I admire the fact that she is so 'herself' in all that she performs.
Movies - ? mmm My favourite one - Le Scaphandre et le papillon (The diving bell and the butterfly). Watched it ages ago for the first time with my mum, didn't understand it exactly then, but it keeps coming back to me. Makes me appreciate and enjoy every moment.
Series wise I love 'How I met your mother'. Not only I laugh but also the little group of friends totally stole my heart.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1. Travelled to South America last year, backpacked the whole continent in a month (I might be slightly exaggerating when saying the whole continent :D) ! Loads of memories, met loads of new people, been in hundreds of new situations.
2. Worked in the care home (still doing it actually). Gives me 'a kick'. Teaches me a lot, about myself. About us, as people.

I can share my memories and my stories from the trips :D, can share why I love living so much, why I believe things are gonna be alright one day. Would love to share my passion for photography, (I could take some good quality photos of you if you wanted or give you some tips if you are photographing yourself;)). Be very happy to share the music that playes in my soul ;)! I also love cooking for others - I am the best with Polish kitchen recipes :D.
