I'm Zsófi, a 23-year-old girl from Hungary, but at the moment I'm studying in Freiburg for a year as an exchange student.

I used to be a shy person - I started to overcome my shyness by doing voluntary work abroad (wwoofing). I met amazing people and saw inspiring projects, I still consider these as the most influential experiences of my life yet.

It seems this year I have to skip wwoofing due to uni. I will miss volunteering, but I don't have to miss meeting interesting people from around the world - and that's why I'm on couchsurfing! On one side I'm planning to travel a bit around to explore this area where I'm living now, and on the other hand I'd like to meet couchsurfers coming to Freiburg when I'm staying here :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a traveller:
It's a nice way to gain more experience than just by being a tourist. By meeting locals you not only get to know new people and hear their stories but also see the city from a different aspect. My parents are also hosts and have many positive experiences so far with Couchsurfing!

As a host:
Unfortunately I can't host travellers as I live in a student dormitory. Now I live in Freiburg until the end of summer 2019 and I'd be happy to meet travellers! I could show you around or we could explore some new places together as I'm quite new here also :D. And I'm always up to a hike in the Black Forest.

Interests

I love sports, especially outdoor sports like mountain-biking, rock climbing or going on long hikes. Mountains are where I can recharge my batteries the most.

I have a big curiosity in technology, I always enjoy figuring out how things work.

I'm interested in sustainable living, I try to live my life with as small negative impact on the environment as I can. I like the challenge it brings to my life as I have to look for new, creative ways instead of the old, "wasteful" habits.

I play the guitar and the ukulele.
