About Me

I´m 20 y.o. medical student from Benešov, which is town near Prague. Have two sisters, one brother, one amazing boyfriend, a cat and a dog. During the school year I live in Prague.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me Couchsurfing seems like an amazing website for people who want to spend their time travelling in an interesting way enriching both themselves and locals. I think it is a great opportunity to meet people who I would otherwise have no opportunity to meet. :)

Interests

I´m mix of both real hardworker and extremely lazy person, so I really enjoy all-day studying or 12-hour shift in my part-time job as well as I love lying in my bed for all day reading interesting novel or watching my favourite series. What I enjoy the most is good food. I enjoy both czech cuisine and trying new interesting tastes from other countries. So I am open to advice what to eat in your hometown or country :) And I can share some recipes for czech food for sure! :)
I like volunteering in various fields, from volunteering in peer education to visiting retirement home, I simply enjoy working for free :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to various music genres, from classical to indie. Movies I like are usually czech ones - I think our national cinematography has a lot to offer - I think the best films are Pelíšky (by Jan Hřebejk) and Burning bush (by Agnieszka Holland). My favourite non-czech film is American beauty.
As for books it´s very difficult to choose just a few favourite as I love reading a lot.. I like E. M. Remarque´s books, Karel Čapek´s novels and dramas. A book that took my breath away was The truth about Harry Quebert´s case by Joel Dicker.
..anatomy textbook is definitely not my favourite book! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago me and my friends went to Tatra mountains in Slovakia and spent a night in the open air in a valley between mountain peaks. It was wonderful night until it started to rain heavily and all our stuff were soaking wet. We had nowhere to hide! I wouldn´t call it amazing, but definitely experience I won´t forget.. ;)
