We are a Pervian/American couple who love to travel and meet people. Katie teaches English and Edson is a salsa instructor who is finishing his Engineering degree. Katie has been couchsurfing for years so check out her profile for more about her and references, but now we are planning on hosting for the year or so that we will be in Cusco. Edson has been living in Cusco for several years but has traveled extensively throughout Peru and the Sacred Valley area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love the idea of couch surfing and have enough space to share with travelers. Cusco is a very affordable city with thousands of travelers, but it is nice to get to know people one on one and share experiences.

Interests

We both love to cook, hike, dance, and get to know new people. We rarely drink but we like relaxed dinners or outings. When we aren't working, we are usually reading, cooking, and relaxing at home or in the mountains. We are super passionate about all dance types and we love to learn, watch, and practice what we can.

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen to a lot of salsa and Peruvian music but we like it all. We watch a fair share of Netflicks...our favorite show is How I Met Your Mother. We are reading the Harry Potter Series in Spanish now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year we did an overnight pilgrimage/hike with thousands of people. We camped in the early morning at the top of a mountain, almost froze, and woke up to local donkeys and llamas. Super cold but a really great experience.
