Overview
About Me
I'm very easy-going and open minded. I love experiencing new things and meeting new people from all walks of life, and I love meeting people who love meeting new people! Always down for a good adventure, whether it's something as calming as a walk through the city streets or as invigorating as jumping from a canoe into the middle of a crystal clear lake. I have many hobbies and am always looking to learn new things... I'm currently working on my yoga skills. My goal is to be able to do handstands by june!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the recent years I have done a lot of growing and have learned a lot about myself, and about the people and their world's that surround me on the daily. I love nothing more than learning of those worlds. I have been working for the same company for four years, in three different positions, and I am now ready to break free of the grasps of a routine that I've placed myself in and REALLY explore and learn in the best way possible... simply experiencing life by going to new places and meeting new people through travel. I feel as though couch surfing would be a great way to meet people who want to help other travellers have the est time they possibly can, I hope to one day be able to return the favour after I move to Vancouver!
Interests
If it's something that will help me grow as a person I will most likely be interested in it! It would take a while to write out all of my current interests, but lately I've spent a lot of time doing photography, wood working and jewellery making, playing guitar/ukulele, hiking and exploring, cooking for myself and friends, baking, and doing yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love almost all music! Well, mostly. Hold the screaming, and I'm all ears.
Current favourite movie is The Grand Budapest Hotel. Wanted to watch it again as soon as I finished it!
I don't do a lot of reading, because I write a lot. But I'm currently reading the Alchemist and next I will be reading The Way of the Peaceful Warrior!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing experiences I had was when I went to Malaysia with the marching band I was in, in 2011. We got to compete in a parade competition, performing for a royal Malaysian family, and we ended up coming in first place!
I played bass drum in the drum line, and we had a drum battle with bands from Indonesia, Malaysia, and china. Here's the link! I'm the blonde in the middle with the flippy hair.

Teach, Learn, Share
Artsy skills: jewellery making, woodworking, photography, anything music related.
Food: I loooooove eating good food, especially when it can be shared with good people! I have been a vegetarian for fur years and have been testing the waters of a vegan diet but I am not too strict with that as of right now. I'd love to cook for those that host me, or treat you to meal or two! I also quite like beer... a lot.
Spirituality: I've recently delved deeper into learning more of my spiritual side, and also just getting more in tuned/aligned with my mind and body. I've progressed in doing so by starting yoga as well as meditation. I also just started learning more of crystals and their healing powers/energies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am very respectful and considerate of those around me, and I'm always more than happy to help out in any way I can. I'm very neat and always make sure to clean up after myself. I'd love to be able to share my stories and hopefully become friends to those that host me!
