My name is Nicola Münstermann, I'm 28 years old and I am living in Berlin.
After finishing Highschool in 2013 I saved up some money and traveled through Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, and Europe for two years until June 2016. I then started studying psychology and neuroscience, finished my Bachelor and Master in this field and then a second master in economics.
I now work as a psychologist

During my travels, I met amazing people, had a lot of positive experiences and unexpected things happening to me.
Now planning on making more memories, listening to stories from fellow travelers and telling some of my own.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

On my travels I realized that seeing a city as a tourist and being shown around or following a local's advice are two completely different things. I largely prefer the latter. I also like the idea of couch surfing, to share and to give just for the sake of giving and meeting new people.

Me and my former roommates had a lot of backpackers stay at our house in Melbourne, meeting them through facebook groups and I slept on quite a few couches in Thailand and Vietnam, without CouchSurfing but through kind locals, I met on my way through the country.
A couple of years ago I registered here to meet more people, hosted a handful in my student flat in Maastricht and hope for similar cool experiences in the future.

I enjoy listening to everything, but especially Rap, (German, French and American), techno and sometimes classic music or ambient music while learning or reading.

My favourite movies are Inception, A beautiful mind, Whiplash, Wolf of Wallstreet, Prestige and many more. When it comes to TV series, Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders, GoT and Suits is what I enjoyed.

Some books I enjoyed were A Trillion Dollar, 1984, The Catcher in the Rye, Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du coran, and a lot of Hermann Hesse's work

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I bought a motorbike in Vietnam, learned driving it in one of the most crowded cities in the world and drove through the whole country on it.

I can teach you how to play table tennis, if you are interested in learning German I am more than willing to help you there and I think my cooking skills aren't too shabby, either.

I like learning new things. I am currently working on my cooking skills, I like to hear about other countries, cultures, to listen to stories and share experiences. I also appreciate seeing authentic living and discovering places guided by locals.
