About Me

I'm a happy, always smiling outgoing and flexible person with a love for cycling! An ex-geography student that loves to hang out with locals. I love to share my city, country and experiences with you and I am always open for thoughts and experiences from others!

In 2019 I moved back to my hometown after living many years in Utrecht. Still happy to hang out and show the city or my home region though! Ofcourse you’re always free to contact me and maybe we can work something out... 💪

In the last years I hosted in total more than 30 people. Most of them related to my study association (EGEA). Those people usually dont leave messages on Couchsurfing, but I don't believe references are needed to be fun, entertaining and joyful!

Also if you just want to visit Utrecht or The Netherlands feel free to write me and maybe I can help you or anything. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great way to find local people and cheap accommodation when you are traveling around. It's so nice to meet locals, see their cultures, houses and way they live. It's much nicer and personal than staying in a hostel.
.
It's not about the money, but still I rather spend €10,- for dinner and some drinks to have a good time with a local host, than giving it to a hostel :)

Music, Movies, and Books

1) I really love "In the city of bikes", a book about the history of cycling in Amsterdam and how the author moved to the Neteherlands and fell in love with it.
2) Walkable cities and Happy Citty, great books about how we should transform our cities to more friendly people friendly places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1.5 month trip, visiting Italy, South Africa, Thailand and Belgium. Even hitchhiked in Asia and South Africa and got some great exciting experiences that were sometimes on the edge! But very awesome!
