---

I'm an editor by trade and a writer at heart. I run an educational writing web-forum online, as well as an educational forum and resource aggregate for protecting American's civil rights. I'm a high school drop out, and college graduate doing things my own way. I'm open minded, free spirited, and enjoy meeting new people more than just about anything. I used to do a lot of rock climbing, but I messed up my wrist, so I've been pouring more time into my online businesses. I'm a tech guru, and probably more of a nerd that I'd like to admit. Lastly, I'm an aspiring documentary maker, though I've not yet gathered enough experience to be a professional in any capacity :P Unfortunately, this also means I'm usually totally broke!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling the United States with my best friend Ethan for about 3 months. He also has a profile on here, and I'm sure if I contact you I'll be able to link it. After those months, I'm going to be going up to Alberta Canada for a month or so, then hopefully settling in somewhere on the west coast. It's where I've always felt I belong.

We had originally planned a camping trip exclusively, but after running the logistics, it wouldn't be feasible. Anyone willing to give us a place to stay is greatly appreciated.

P.S:

When I finish this trip, I'm hoping to get a job doing whatever I can to support myself on the west coast. I've hit that point in life where my dreams and my wallet aren't co-operating. I don't need much, just enough to be able to afford the electronic gadgets needed to produce high quality videography and writing. If you know of anyone who needs a savvy worker, feel free to pass my name along or vice-versa; I should probably start a kickstarter...

Interests

Most of what I'd put here about the writing and fiction is redundant so I'll put new stuff.

I'm a huge advocate for safe drug-policy reform, specifically medical marijuana legalization; I know the science, not just the culture. I can talk shop for hours about the history, politics, culture, laws from state to state, etc. Please note this is an interest, and not a hobby in any capacity and during our travels (for obvious reasons) absolutely no illegal substances will be with us.

Science fiction and futurism. I can talk for hours about nanotechnology, Artificial super intelligence, asteroid mining, etc.

I'm also interested in film. Huge film watcher. You name me a movie, heck you play the SOUND in the background and I can tell you what scene and what movie, who stars in it, and maybe what year it came out. I'm not exactly a professional critic, but I do get to view early screenings for the reviews I write.

Weird stuff. I'm intrigued by the obscure or abstract. I can't say I'm a fan of modern art, but I am the type to visit a Hindu temple for no other reason than it was on the way to wherever. . .

Travel, obviously, although I've not been afforded much opportunity to do so in the past. Looking forward, I'm hoping to hit about 25 of the lower 48.

Music, Movies, and Books

Porter Robinson for music. I'd list my blog publicly with about 1,000 different artists and a paragraph review of each, but I'd be doxxing the pen name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started a small web community that now has over 10,000 people on it! I've also volunteered in Costa Rica to save sea turtles for 5 weeks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Writing, technology, videography, stories (prolifically), unbias politics (mostly the history), the web communities I run (though preferably without linking them to my real name online), two educational blogs I run, just about anything else they want to ask about.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Israel
