Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd loved it even before I tried it. First I met couchsurfers in Sweden some 12 years ago, then in Lithuania, then hosted a few people in my apartment in Prague and soon realized that no trip is complete without meeting new people and having a great time with them.

I've been hosting and couchsurfing all around the world for about 12 years, but contacting couchsurfers has always been my friend's or boyfriend's job and so I may seem a bit inactive here.

When having guest at my place (now in Warsaw), I like being at least a bit available, feed you with some vegan treats, and show you around a bit. But as a freelancer I sometimes get very busy, so I might not be there for you much.

*** I have three cats, so only people who enjoy the presence of animals are welcome at my place.

Interests

Traveling, languages, literature, sports, yoga, acrobatics, psychology, hiking, history (mainly of the 20th century), vegan cooking and everything related to cruelty-free lifestyle.

I like connecting traveling and discovering new countries with some kind of volunteering or learning something specific rather than being a tourist. I've taken part in a few interesting projects in different countries, from teaching English to young learners to wiping cats' eyes. When traveling, I also like attending cooking classes and taking language courses.

I'm very passionate about everything related to Central Asia, Turkey, and recently also Romania that I really fell in love with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering with displaced people in Armenia and in an animal shelter in Brazil.

Hitchhiking around Afghanistan is another that one I won't forget.
