Hi guys!
My name is Evelien, and I'm a Dutch student of English literature. I will (hopefully) graduate this year. I have been living in a student flat with my 9 housemates for three years now, and they are all lovely people. I love working with fabrics: weaving, spinning wool, knitting, you name it. For the past year I've been writing my thesis on St. Cuthbert, a Northumbrian saint, which is why I'd love to visit Durham, his resting place. Beside writing my thesis I'm doing an educational master for which I'm teaching 13 to 15 year olds, which is a challenge, but a lot of fun! I read a lot, watch several series, go swimming, bouldering and running every now and then. This really is my first time couchsurfing, so, I have no idea how this works :P I hope you will host me!

I will be visiting Durham soon, so I'm looking for a friendly host who will have me over for a few days. I sort of lost my RP accent (it's been a while since I last came to Engeland) and I'd be so happy to get it back a bit by talking to some locals.

兴趣

Handicrafts! I just received a table loom, I have a small spinningwheel at home, and I usually knit during the winter. All whilst watching series. I really should read more, but I love spinning so much! I love cooking, dancing, and i might occasionally sing in the shower when I know no one's around.

Music: 60's 70's 80's... basically a lot of stuff from before I was born, but I can appreciate recent music of course! Kasabian, Dan San, Bombay Bicycle Club. Movies: Comedy, thrillers, Sci-fi. Interstellar, The Boat That Rocked, Where The Wild Things Are, Moon.
