About Me

I'm a simple guy, born in Bogotá, Colombia, 19 years old. I moved to Hamburg last year (2014) on october to start my studies in the University of Hamburg. I'm just about to start the 2nd semester in Psychology (Bachelor).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I moved to Hamburg, finding a place to stay was very hard. But luckily, I found one. My flatmate (Alex) was already registered on the website and told be about the idea of couchsurfing. Some people came by, we learned about them, we talked, we had fun and we shared things from our own culture. It was and still is a wonderful experience for me, so I thought to myself: creating an own profile? Why not?

Interests

I like getting to know new people. Mostly those who have a story to tell and with different cultural backgrounds and beliefs than mine. Talking with new people with other perspectives is like viewing the world from someone else's eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've recently gotten attached to music that reminds me of my time in Costa Rica or Colombia. I guess it's my way to deal with homesickness. I listen to music my grandpa likes, songs my father sang, songs I listened to every time I was at a party when I was younger... I guess I like songs that remind me of good memories I lived.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently came from Switzerland. We spent 10 days by the very first couchsurfer I ever met: Aurélie (she's the one in the picture with me). The days she lived with us were wonderful, and visiting her afterwards was a very pleasant experience. Every day was like a dream. The one amazing thing I did on that trip was skiing for the first time of my life. I had a very good private teacher (Aurélie), her classes along with some tipps from her friends and Alex I built up enough confidence to ski on the hardest tracks in 3 days.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My laughter, joy and will to experience a good time cooking, watching a movie, playing boardgames/cardgames, getting to know different places. I could share my story: who I am, why I came to germany to study, what I believe in... Or just whatever my host likes to do. It doesn't matter what we do, I like being around people. And as long as they are entertained I also feel good.

Countries I’ve Lived In
