About Me

I'm an almost-graduate from University, entering the crazy working world soon.

In my free time, I hope to explore the world and the various cultures around! I like off the beaten road things and enjoy the exchange of experiences and cultures that come with making new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing from a friend who tried it while backpacking in Europe and his description of his experience was really unique and great. I hope that through Couchsurfing, even short stays can be an opening to the greater, wider world. Learning new things from locals themselves is really cool as well, and making new friends is great!

Interests

I like learning about cultures, nature, reading and writing! I also love to create things with my hands, doing things like tinkering with crafts or cooking/baking :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not really picky about music, but some earworms are Colbie Calliat, Sara Bareilles, Kina Grannis, David Choi, Taylor Swift and Rend Collective.

My favourite movie of all time is Ruby Sparks, but I also enjoy the Avengers series. Other notable mentions are Room and the Pirates of Caribbean series.

I love Fantasy and Science Fiction. Series like Patrick Rothfuss's Kingkiller Chronicles and Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles are some of my current favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adventuring in Oman. We had to cross the border on foot late at night due to a whole series of unfortunate incidents and accidentally crossed without getting our exit passes...

After that we went to a local freshwater area (Wadi Shab) and ended up following some local youth in to find the famous cave in the area. In the process we left all our valuable behind a rock before heading in. Fortunately we didn't get robbed. By the time we left, we almost got stranded in the area as there was no path and the sun had set.

Thank God our cab driver turned out to be a really great guy and now friend!

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't judge a book by its cover or a person by first impressions. No one is as they seem and everyone has an interesting story to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An exchange of experiences and local/general dishes or bakes if you're interested!
