Overview
About Me
So I'm a 20 year old french guy living in Le Puy en Velay, a small town in the center of France. I dropped out of university last year, where I was studying English. I left it because I only chose to study english after receiving "good grades" in the english part of the baccalaureat while I had actually no idea what I really wanted to study. I worked here and there for a while and I am now volunteering in Xylokastro in Greece as part of the evs program. I wanted to travel since I was fifteen and I am now ready to spend a long time in another country than mine so I can open my mind from french thinking and get to know different places, different languages and lifestyles. I think travelling can only be mind opening and can actually teach me a lot about life and make me grow up as a person.
Also I know my profile picture suck but I wasn't on facebook before 2 weeks so I don't have so many photos of myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet and talk with people from Greece and maybe spend some time with them so I can learn more about this country. (well I'm only talking about Greece because that's where I am right now but really this could apply to any country I could go to) .I have some free time ahead of me and I would love to use it to hitchhike around Greece. At first I thought I could take my sleeping bag and just sleep outside but the weather is actually not so great and I think I might actually need a place to sleep if it begins raining at the start of my hithchiking trip.
I also had an Italian guy coming to my couch while I was in university last year and it ended up being a great experience so I want to be able to host people again one day and use their couch in the future. I don't really know what to do with my life right now so I'm planning on travelling as much as possible and I think couchsurfing allows you to learn about the country you're staying in way more than staying in dull hotels where you would spend your time alone.
Interests
All I really do when I have free time is listening to music. I also try to keep up with political news around the world but it's not so easy, even with internet (or maybe because of internet, since you get so many contradictory informations about the same thing, the situation in Crimea in Ukraine, for example, is so hard for me to fully understand, stuff like this).
Other than that I've recently began mixing, I like long walks or bicycle rides, making fires/barbecues on the beach, smoking cigarettes and drinking coffees on balconies and partying with my friends or with strangers. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I hate people saying they "listen to everything" but actually I almost do. Only exceptions being dubstep and some genres of metals I can listen to pretty much anything. I've been getting more in electronic music (theo parrish, moodymann, mount kimbie, nosaj thing, etc..) for two years now and I still can't get tired of it. I used to listen to a lot of 60's, 70's rock (stuff like led zeppelin, pink floyd, can, camel, john lennon) during my teenager years. More chill stuff like soul or folk also work with me (otis redding, sixto rodriguez, marvin gaye, nick drake), and if we really have to dance I can work with funk music. I also like some more weird stuff like John Wizards.
My favorties movies are The Aquatic Life, La Haine and maybe the Lord of The Rings (which was also the first book I read as a kid so seeing it adapted in movie later was really breathtaking for young me).
I don't read so much books now even though I know I should.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finally having the balls to leave from France to come here in Greece and I really don't regret it. I'm actually already planning a 11 months long evs project in Istanbul for next year and I'm also trying to think about maybe going to Asia after this but I still have time to think about what to do next.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I'm starting to love learning about other's cultures and way of living. Even basic stuff like breakfasts that are different from the ones I have in France, stuff like this.
I didn't study so much and I don't have many actual qualifications but I can share about many musicians that I love and I will always try to get to know about your musical tastes or the political situation of your country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some smiles and laughs, a lot of music and some tobacco. It's not so much but it's all I've got here in Greece.
