Overview
About Me
Fairly laid back but busy at work.
I like engaging in meaningful conversation over a cup of nice coffee.
I travel frequently for leisure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been traveling luxuriously every now and then for a couple of years. After every trip, I feel that there is a void that is not filled. I attended a Couchsurfing weekly meeting in Berlin previously. I found out that travel experience can probably be more authentic if I spend some time hanging out with locals/attend some events organized by local/stay with local rather than staying in luxury hotels and dine at Michelin Star restaurants. I thoroughly enjoy staying at those luxury hotel chains and have nice food at fine dining restaurants. I think my travel experience can be a better "mix" if I add the element of local in it.
This is not a dating site - so spare me the awkward, sexual invitations.
I am not looking to be romantically involved with anyone at the moment. I would gladly appreciate if you can respect this and not pursue any sexual/romantic advances. Thank you.
Interests
Is fine dining an interest? Aha! I love good food and to dine at the best restaurant in town is probably my first to-do whenever I visit a new city. I read, draw and learn new skill during my free time. One good thing about me is that we probably wouldn't run out of idea on what to talk about haha.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to The Beatles, Bee Gees, John Denver, Celine Dion, Harry Belafonte, Dionne Warwick, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, The Carpenter, Don McLean and Vincenzo Bellini, Cecilia Bartoli
I enjoy reading business, management, self-help related's materials.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have always thought that being multilingual is cool.
It was Spring'18 when I was in Frankfurt Airport waiting for my turn to get my car key from Hertz, the car rental.
As I was queuing, I noticed that the staff faced some difficulty trying to explain to two tourists from China the direction to get the car, the general workarounds and instructions. I went over to the counter and asked the staff needs any help for translation and he nodded immediately.
As the staff explained to me in German, I translated the information into Chinese simultaneously to the tourists. I guess it feels good to be able to help with the limited skill that I have.
