I am Eva, at the moment travelling through Indonesia. I have three months to try and experience as much of Indonesia as I can. Before travelling I studied at the University of Amsterdam and got my Master of Science degree. As I did not want to start looking for a job right away, I decided to see Indonesia.

As you might have guessed from my introduction I love travelling and meeting other people. I have already met so many nice people during my trip in Indonesia. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. I really hope they get as much in return as they gave me.

At home I work in a restaurant. During my spare time a hang out with friends and go out, because I love to dance. Another passion of mine is learning other languages. I am really trying to learn some Indonesian too, but to have an actual conversation is still not possible unfortunately.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing, because it is an easy way to meet people from the country you are travelling. I think that meeting the people is actually just as important as seeing the landscape and architecture.

The second reason is that it is much more economic and you can spend the money you save at other things worth seeing or doing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like hiphop, rnb, but also house and techno. I can basically listen to a lot of different kinds of music as long as it is not hardcore, hardstyle or heavy metal.
Movies: I love la meglio gioventu (an italian movie), her, sin city, 12 angry men, casablanca, gone with the wind, blue valentine, disney movies.
Books: I like to read novels mostly. Some old, some new. Either in English or in Dutch. I am now reading Therese Raquin, but there are many many books I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed Gunung Rinjani, which was amazing. But I think the most amazing things are just the small moments in which you are with amazing peoply, sitting in the most beautiful place drinking tea.
