Hey
I am a 19 year old Girl, currently backpacking Australia with my best friend Kristina, 19 years old. We are looking for a place to stay and we want to meet as many people as possible.
We arrived in Cairns in Australia about 3 months ago (our first time in Australia and out of Europe without family!) and we loved it there.

We lived with 14 different hosts so far.. And what can we say. It was the best time we could have ever imagined.
:)

On our way, we learned what it means to be a good guest. Chatting about personal stories and memories, how to cook and try some new recipes together or how to take care about the children.. Helping our hosts wherever we can. Because that's it.

Basically, we would like to meet some nice people, spend evenings with us and get to know each other. We are both very easy going girls and we just want to have a nice time! We love laughing and chatting!

We hope that Couchsurfing is the perfect way to experience the real australian spirit :)

The time flies so fast, that's unbelievable.
We're now in New Zealand for 4 weeks. It would be so great if we get to know lovely people who share their experiences with us or take care of us.

Remember that you will be a kind of second family here.

Maybe you could show us the real australian mentality and traditions :-)

It means so much more to be part of the Australian life, instead of staying in a hostel full of germans.

Dancing. We both dance in our own group and Kristina is a trainer and does dance lessons with kids.
Of course travelling- that's obviously the reason why we are here.

We've read a lot since we're in Australia.

Additionally we love to eat and we try as much as we can.

It's so hard to be used to your own kitchen stuff at home and then suddenly you have to get along with only a few things. :)
We now know: how to use Vegemite- don't try to fool us with a spoon!!

It was absolutely stunning!

Unfortunately we can not write about how we climbed the Kilimanjaro or how we travelled around all the big
countries...

But we're only 19 years old. Isn't it freaking exciting that we travel trough Australia at this age?
Soooo far away from home and our families.

For us it was just amazing living in Bingil Bay and learn how to play backgammon with our host or learning how to bake Irish soda bread!!!

We would also love to improve our english skills, yesterday we learned how some of the Australians pronounce their A! So wired.

Kristina is not able yet to differ the AM & PM, so don't worry if she becomes confused.:)
she will probably never ever understand that.
