Overview
About Me
I'm very outgoing and willing to make new friends. I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with my lovely wife and our 2 teenage kids.
I'm very organized and like to plan my trips in advance. But sometimes I enjoy putting my map aside and I wander through the streets of a new place just to be surprised by the moment.
I'm very fond of my work, which I dedicate myself a lot. Being an architect is far more than a profession, it is a vocation.
You can "google" me under Max Mello Arquitetura Sem Limites and you will find a lot of stuff about my professional activities and achievements.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a new way to make friends all around the globe and share life experiences. When I travel abroad, the highlight is to meet a local who can show me places and give me hints about the city, off the beaten path of regular tourists.
Interests
I just love traveling abroad & overseas; photography is definitely a hobby; besides: art, design, architecture, music, fitness, fine cuisine and good wine are a big part of my life!

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of instrumental and lounge music, Jazz, Blues, Bossa Nova, R&B, Gospel and World Music.
Science fiction, independent movies (specially European) both comedy & drama.
Not a fond reader... I can't seem to concentrate enough to finish reading a whole book, but I try reading a good book now and then...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making the most of everyday life!
And also, a landmark in my life is when I was an exchange student in San Diego, CA, back in 1983.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been an English teacher in the past, but now I only design architecture. I love to learn about new materials and creative solutions for home improving. And I'm also very interested in natural history, all kinds of art (music, dance, theatre, cinema) and human relations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Besides my couch, special hints about my hometown and a warm welcome to our neighborhood.
