I am a cultural-linguistic being with Afro-Cuban, Native American, and some other ethnic blends who speaks American Sign Language fluently as a primary language. I was born and raised in Florida, however, the birthplace does not describe who I really am as a person. I moved to various places that showed me that there is more to this world globally. I have been to Canada and Mexico. I look forward to visiting other countries later this year. I am deeply humbled by these kind of opportunities.

My eating habits include gluten free foods and organic foods. It is my goal to stay healthy mindfully. I am not big on eating meats daily. I simply consume white meats in portional amounts at least 3x a week to compromise with my metabolic abilities.

Other than that, I look forward to meeting people who are willing to take the time to know me as a person on a soul level. Plus, I can be full of surprises. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year is offering me an opportunity to travel more for both business and personal. This is a good opportunity to prepare myself when it comes to traveling overseas later this year. I enjoyed meeting people of diverse background exchanging wisdom and language knowledge. I have gained experience in meeting people from other countries when I worked as a camp counselor during my high school and undergrad college years. I felt right at home when I interacted with people from other countries because they offered me a beautiful space allowing me to express myself freely. It was a honour meeting them.

It is an opportunity for me to open my sacred space to others who are travelling to feel right at home away from their homes. May I offer you the space to embrace the beauty of cultural exchanges. I look forward to meeting people both ways. Thank you for being you.

Interests

I am interested in exploring universal spirituality(no specific religious traditions or spiritual traditions as a singular discipline) by listening to people and having deep empathetic conversations. I enjoy reading books, listening to African music(had to be played really loud using earphones), laughing often, dancing in solitude, watching healthy movies that has its own spiritual perspectives, exercising between 2x & 4x a week depending on my body wisdom, and teaching people American Sign Language(ASL). I am sure there are more things that I enjoy doing at the present moments, however, I won't list them all here.

I enjoyed reading spirituality books, movies such as Avatar, Lucy, Big Hero 6, and truly dance to African dances such as Azonto, Werrason, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have become a soul mother and sister to a person who have lost her way in this world. It took me a little more than 6 months to get through her and guide her to become who she really is as beautiful, sacred person using the wisdom that I received from the Universe humbly. Now, I looked at her with tears of joy in my heart because she became such a beautiful person who found her own inner balance and inner peace. It was a profound experience for me. It was amazing to see what I could offer just being me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy teaching people American Sign Language and sharing my wisdom with them when they are open to it. I honour their spaces if they choose not to open up to what I have to offer fully. I am happy to learn what other people have to offer through their own personal experiences on their journeys.
