Hi my name is PeiYun. I'm a 29 years-old Taiwanese girl who love traveling to discover the world.
Last year end I quit my job and preparing go to central and South America. And have been studying Spanish for one year. My main goal is to learn local cuisine from the locals while I travel. For me is the best way to taste the real local food and get touch the culture.

2019 Dec.-Jan. / volunteer in Phnom Penh as a English teacher, first volunteer experience in a NGO school. Got to live with the teachers and the students. We are like a big family and take care each other. I feel more like a guest than a teacher. They taught me many things in different ways.

2019 December/ volunteer in Bangkok, get to know more the local life for two weeks. Volunteer in a hostel to help organize daily events and front desk. Such a learning experience and met lots of unique travelers around the world.

2019 October, finally did my very first Couchsurfing in Japan. It was wonderful experience that I met such nice host and motivated me to keep doing it to know more about people from different countries.

2015-2016working holiday in Canada,Lake Louise as a cook and love the life in such beautiful place.

2016 I was HelpX in Florida Keys, Marathon. Help the host do Airbnb job like clean rooms and all the cleaning stuff. Enjoy the time near by the ocean.

2015 I was WWOOFing in Washington,Longview U.S. Willow Grove Garden For two months, it was my first experience live in different country. And I had great time to stay with them I love cook for them and try my best to help them I will never forget the time I spent there.
My second experience is did HelpX in Calgary,Canada. I met a kindness couple they host me for two months and I help them do cooking and cleaning house. We were so happy to live together and exchange culture differences.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the way to know more local life and get in touch with people who currently can’t travel but want to meet people from around the world. I really like the idea.
And I traveling alone with open minds. I love meet new people and get to know more.

兴趣

Of course cooking is my favorite. Beside cooking I interesting in basketball (NBA) my favorite team is Golden State Warriors also I love play basketball. And I love Photography and I think I have my style to take unique pictures and love sharing my photos on Instagram( my ID: lipeiyuntaiwan). at the end I interesting traveling and want know more about local life where I travel by. Prefer natural lifestyle than big city also love hiking even I still need training.

My favorite type of music are country and some pop music, and I love old music as well.
I love watch movies and I spent lots time to find and watch movies, recent years I founds my passion about how to see movies in different ways and enjoy it. So it’s hard to list all my fav movies. But I prefer old movies for sure.
I’ve read lots books but all different types. But I do prefer book about history and culture.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I spent around 7 years in school to learn about be a good cook before I start traveling alone I was spent a ton of time in the kitchen. And before I graduated in university my friends and I join a national culinary competition in Taiwan, and final we got the championship we got the chance go to China,Zhouhi to learn traditional cuisine there for a month. I think that's why I started traveling because I really want to try and learn more different food all around the world.

I think for me most important thing in traveling is really get close to local people to know what their life is and share our culture differences also the food culture ,I really want to learn and experience it.
So traveling by Couchsurfing is the best way to close to people.
And I would love to make some Taiwanese or Asian foods to share our culture.
