I’m a 3nd year student in Leiden. I live here now for 2 years and I sadly have to say that I don’t know the city as well as I would want. But I’m slowly learning more about this small city! I am a happy, creative and quite stubborn person. I like to read, cook and watch movies together with friends, and to go out once in a while :) I also love traveling around, or meeting people from different background while I’m back home. Up till now I have been able to combine my love for traveling and learning more about culture on the most basic level twice. Once as an au pair in France and the second time as an au pair in Italy. The amazing thing is that you see small differences in habits that you would have never thought about just traveling through the country alone

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because meeting up with people actually living in a place is much more fun than sleeping in a hotel or hostel. And because I love meeting new people and learning things about other cultures.

Difficult.. I like a lot of different things, from reading on my couch to partying, from trying out crazy sports to sitting at my table trying to write or sew a bag or cooking...
I'm pretty open to trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: the Percy Jackson series!! Although I'll read about everything, I love fantasy books the best. I'm trying to finish 'zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance' for more than a year already, but during school periods I just don't have enough energy left to try to understand the philosophy in it... so I keep it for short breaks and the holidays.
My music and movies taste is about the same as with my interest... I'll give everything a chance. But I have a lot of respect for singer songwriters and love good lyrics. One of my favorites is Ed Sheeran, but I also have periods when I listen to a lot of Prince, Crowded House, Rolling Stones or Taylor Swift. Or maybe a new artist I discovered. My brother introduced me to Panic! At the disco a few months ago, and I absolutely love their music... so now I listen to them a lot :p
