About Me

I'm a 29 y.o. electronics engineer from Móstoles (Madrid, Spain).

I moved to Brighton (UK) in May 2015 to start in a new job and live good experiences far from my hometown.

Initially shy and introvert, but it just last for around 30 minutes. I'm generaly a cheerful guy and full of energy, but quiet at the same time (that's the secret to maintain energy), and for some reason my face has a smile 75% of the time. The other 25% is quite likely that I'll be eating, and then I'm really focused on what I'm doing.

Not alcoholic, no drugs, clean and respectful. I like silly and nonsense conversations, but also enjoy when it's time to share points of view and opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in Brighton has allowed me to meet people from all over Europe, and to discover CouchSurfing, as it's not popular at all in my city and among my friends.

I want to visit new places, meet people, get to know their cities and their people, and of course, help discover Brighton, such a young city should not be ignored.
Also help discover Spain, there are lots of things I love from my country, and there is much more than Paella and the eastern beaches.

Interests

My interests are nothing special, everything is quite typical.

As Spanish, I love food!! Homemade traditional Mediterranean food... aaaahh there's nothing better than that... And of course, tapas + beers!! I miss all of this soooo much...
And not all of us sleep siesta!! I'm one of those who doesn't (does this make me less Spanish?)

Love the outdoors and mountains, and all the activities they offer. I used to live 40 minutes drive from Madrid's mountains, and enjoyed hiking, rowing, snowboarding... Now, unfortunately, I live in a mostly flat country; there are hills but...

I like having an active life, so doing sport is essential for me. Running, bouldering, martial arts, a bit of gym, and also social training with friends in parks. The reward? Half pint :)
Don't like watching sports, unless they're extreme sports.

I cannot travel as much as I'd like to, but I love it. I try to alternate one trip with friends and another alone. I think solo travelling is a really positive experience, helps you to get to know yourself, enjoy in a different way, and you're always more open to meet new people.

Science, engineering, technology and history. As it's said in Spain, "el saber no ocupa lugar".

Used to like video games a lot, now I don't have much time to play but from time to time..., I think is a completely underrated art, there's lots of creativity and brilliant minds behind them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not much into reading books anymore; documentaries have taken the place of books.

I like rock, metal, punk... and I'm planning to learn to play drums, at some point in my life.

I'm more into series that cinema. The typical ones are my favourites, Breaking Bad, Sherlock, Band of Brothers, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fly over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter.
Snowboarding in the Alps.
21kms night hiking trail along Madrid's mountains.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking, I'm not a genius, but I'm not bad with the typical Spanish recipes.

Have some computers knowledge, so I can always do a quick fix to your PC or laptop.
