Overview
About Me
I smile most of the time, because I'm a happy person. I love to read (mostly fiction and economics) and I also like good movies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to travel, meet people and immerse myself in different cultures. But I'm also a student, which means that I have a limited budget for doing what I want =(
Interests
I'm fascinated by Economics, and lately I've been reading Psychology books.
I like to write, but I don't have a diary or a travel blog, I mostly write short stories and I'm willing to write a novel.
As mentioned before, I love watching movies and reading good books, mostly Latinamerican fiction.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite band is Pink Floyd, it has been for a long time and it will always be. I also like Mike Oldfield, Led Zeppelin, Brian Eno, The Beatles, Radiohead, U2's Achtung Baby and Paul McCartney as a solo artist. I've seen some of these artists live, like Paul, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd's lead writer) and Radiohead. I also love Beethoven's 9th and Chopin's Ballades, I hear these mostly when I'm studying.
My favorite movie is 2001: A Space Oddysey. Other movies I like are: Barry Lyndon, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Once Upon a Time in The West, The Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, The Godfather (except Part III), Gran Torino, Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, Kill Bill Vol. 1&2, Gattaca, Interstellar, Inception, Pi, Gravity, Children of Men...
My favorite book is La región más transparente by Mexican author Carlos Fuentes. I love Franz Kafka's books (I've read The Castle, The Trial and The Metamorphosis) and also Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2013 I went to Chiapas (Southern Mexico) with two friends from my home university. It was my first "backpacker" trip and it was amazing, we went near the border with Guatemala and we saw recently discovered ruins. We also went to a pristine lake in the middle of the Lacandona jungle. The whole trip was wonderful and quite a learning experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help them practice their Spanish, my native language, or English, language in which I'm fluent. I can also, if the ingredients can be found, cook real Mexican food for them to taste.
