Hi ! My name is Angela, I am 32 years old and originally from the Netherlands.
After I finished studying in 2013, I wanted to see more of the world and started to travel and live abroad.
I worked a winter season in Austria as a snowboard teacher, and a year later I moved to Canada, where I ended up living for almost 3 years. In Canada I worked as a snowboard teacher as well, also as a nanny, high ropes/zipline instructor and snowshoe guide. It was an amazing time for me, between periods of work I made many road trips (often through hitchhiking and couch surfing) met so many awesome people along the way and made a trip to Hawaii for 10 days. Since August 2018 I moved to Saba in the Dutch Caribbean, where I start working again as a PE teacher. Saba is tiny but gorgeous and has beautiful nature! If you are close you should definitely stop by for a visit ! In the school holidays I try to travel to other islands in the Caribbean and when I am working I might be able to host people here.

I love the idea of helping each other out, without the need to receiving anything in return. I have slept on several couches before, which I always thought was very kind, so now it is my turn to I pay it forward. It is an interesting way to meet new people and to get to know their stories.

Intereses

My favorite sports are mountainbiking, hiking, snowboarding, skiing, yoga, dancing and gymnastics.
I love to play board games, listen to music and watch movies or documentairies.

Música, películas y libros

My favorite book would for sure be: 'Wild' by Cheryl Strayed. One day I hope to go on a similar journey to hike by myself for a couple of weeks or months, experience the biggest adventure.
