About Me

What is there to say about me? I am an easy going and open minded person with an international background. I am from Austria, but also lived in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Scotland, Australia and the Netherlands.

I love to just sit back and relax as much as any sports, hiking and cultural trips. When I travel, I like to stay with locals in order to experience a place not from a touristy view, but how people see it in everyday life. That's exactly why I joined couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I never really knew much about couchsurfing until I ended up living in a share house in Brisbane during my exchange year in Australia. There two of my flatmates were very much into Couchsurfing, having couchsurfers over on a regular basis. This gave me the opportunity to experience first hand what it is all about, and I loved it. All the people I met were social, friendly, helpful and we always had a good time. It was great to meet people and make new friends from all over the world with amazing stories and backgrounds. This really made me want to become part of this culture as well, and now here I am!

Interests

I am very much into sports, primarilly Football (the real european one), Tennis and Skiing. I also enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping or just chilling at a beach or lake and many other things. In my free time I enjoy playing the guitar and in the evenings i like to have a beer or two and be social or just watch a movie and relax.
When I visit new places I like to explore the city. I'm always keen to see the main tourist attractions, however I prefer to experience the culture outside of the whole tourist industry, just wander around the city, try local food and drinks and possibly try to get out of the city and see what the surroundings have to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very open to any kind of music. I listen to anything from Classical over hip-hop and rap to deep house and electro, rock and metal, reggea, drum n bass... anything really. Not a huge mainstream radio fan though.

I enjoy watching good movies. Ones that make you thinkor leave you speechless when the credits roll up. I also enjoy comedies and action movies. Not a huge fan of romantic movies or horror films.

Unfortunatelly I can't say that I am a big reader... I did have to read a fair few books during my school years and I used to read more when I was younger, but since then the only books i've read apart from university textbooks are the Game of Thrones ones.
