I have a diverse background in disaster management, psychology, event planning, and environmental public health focusing on addressing and raising awareness of environmental injustices. Previously, under the US Fish & Wildlife Service I conducted controlled burns as a wildland firefighter in addition to collaborating with FEMA to provide aid relief to victims of natural disasters. With the Louisiana Bucket Brigade I have successfully produced large scale community-wide events including the annual New Orleans Earth Day Festival, Dance-A-Thon, and managed the emergency response team that deploys to communities impacted by petrochemical accidents.
