Well... I'm more the kind of guy who likes to tell people about myself in a conversation, not via pinboard on a website.
But for the first impresson:
my most prominent characteristics are probably my height (1,96m or about 6'5'') and my pointy eyebrows, which earned me the nickname "Mr. Spock" in school...^^

I'm a really reliable person and enjoy helping others, even if it means a lot of work for me. Sometimes I tend to be too correct concerning my behaviour, coming across a bit stiff (or "german" if you want), but I'm improving with every new person I meet ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a member of the Erasmus Student Network for more than 2 years now and love the thought of sharing each others cultures by travelling throughout the world. It is not only a way for me to get to know a lot of interesting people who share the same idea of an international world, but also a chance for all of us to connect the world and people from different countries and continents and raise the awareness for other ways of life. To me, this is a bit of how the world should be and I want to meet people who share this feeling and experience throughout the world :-)

Interests

You could say everything and nothing. I can get motivated for almost anything if I get along with the people I'm doing it with, but mostly I loose interest in it after those people have departed.

Concerning things I like doing regardless of the company:
in general, I prefer outside physical activities like hiking, climbing, team sports (volleyball and football), swimming and diving. Someday I want to try out skydiving, but I haven't found the time yet.

Apart from that, I really enjoy intellectual things like chess, mind games or just a deep conversation about all the world and his brother... at best in a pub while having a beer or two ;-)
