About Me

I am geology studen at Universidad Nacional de Colombia,, I love adventure and nature, I enjoy excersising, reading books, and spending time with family and friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I probably will go to USA in an exchange program, since I have a free month to spend travelling I started to look for accommodation options, my boyfriend told me about couchsurfing so I read about it and found that besides finding a place to stay I could live a complete intercultural experience, which is much more valuable

Interests

I love nature and outdoors activities, I enjoy trekking , as well as dancing and a good book or movie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have no particular predilection for any kind of music, my favourite movies are Closer and The Saint but I enjoy action, comedy and romantic movies as well, I am not very fond of drama, though.
My favourite book is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, I also like De los amores negados by Angela Becerra, La Ilida and La Odisea by Homero, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, I have enjoy every book I have read of Milan Kundera.
And obviously I love Gabriel Garcia Marquez's books, my favourite one is Chronicle of a death foretold, followed by Love in the time of cholera, Of love and other demons, A hundred years of solitude and Strange Pilgrims.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went hiking and climbed Sierra Nevada del Cocuy with my classmates during a Geology field trip.
My career allows me to travel to some wonderful destinations and to appreciate them in a way most tourists cannot, for instance I have gone to Nevado deal Ruiz, Cerro Bravo and Cerro Machin, all of them among the most dangerous volcanoes of my country I could appreciate the beauty of the landscapes, but I was also able to find evidence of the power that lies beneath them, it is almost like watching the Earth breathing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life experiences, I am basically willing to learn every single thing a culture has to offer me, and in return I can teach what my culture is all about, typical dishes, music, folklore.
If someone is willing to learn how to dance as is done in Colombia I can teach him or her, not only what is danced in the clubs but the basics of some typical dances of my country, I will love to learn some traditional dances of other countries as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basically same as the previous question, we could also cook some traditional dishes, I am not very fond of cooking though, but I could share some typical candies and coffee
