About Me
After I graduated from high school I didn't really know what I was really into, but I was interested in informatics so I applied to an IT faculty at university. However 3 and a half years passed and I gradually became aware that I won't make it in the IT industry because I simply crave human contact and communication. I was teaching English to a classmate at that time and I realized that I love teaching especially languages and also learning languages! I was completely absorbed in Japanese culture at the time but I felt that I could not understand the culture without learning the language so I made up my mind to study Japanese. After a year I was presented with an incredible opportunity to visit Japan for a month through an exchange program. It was the most amazing experience of my life and ever since I know that I have to go back there again and again. So I decided to switch career paths and applied to a Japanese faculty at another university. As a result now (2015 summer) me and my partner are traveling to Japan for summer school 徳島大学サマープログラム2015!
The people around me usually consider me open, friendly and reliable. I easily make friends and I am trying to be open towards other cultures as well (this year I even participated in my university's Erasmus programme as a mentor for a Turkish exchange student).
Although it is in Hungarian, I have a travel blog about my stay in Japan 2013 on my Facebook profile. Check it out! (n__n)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I signed up to Couchsurfing because me and my girlfriend are going to Japan in the summer (2015) to study there at a university, but we decided to make it worth our money, to stay somewhat longer, a little bit before and after the programme. However we can't afford to stay at a hotel the whole time so we were looking for an affordable lodging and as we are anyway deeply interested in the Japanese culture it would be an amazing opportunity to stay with a local person!!
Interests
I love teaching which I do on the side. I mainly teach IT (basic computer skills, programming, etc.) and languages I know, mainly English but also Japanese lately. I love going out with friends and meeting new people. When I'm not doing any of those, I surf around on the web for all kinds of things, often about smartphones and gadgets. I also play a lot with video games, my favorite being Diablo III.
Aside from these I am usually open to all kinds of other things that I would never do on my own (like cycling, board games, whatever), because I think that one needs to get out of their "comfort zone" once in a while and do other things too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have a favorite music, but I LOVE music! I can't live without it! I listen to a lot of pop music, but also classical ones and one of my favorite genres is soundtracks from movies and anime (like 梁邦彦 (Ryō Kunihiko), 澤野 弘之 (Sawano Hiroyuki) and many others).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Japan in 2013 all on my own. It was the first flight I ever had! The first time I ever traveled outside the continent (Europe)! The first time I stayed with a foreign family I didn't know anything about! And also the first time I went to a country I couldn't read a thing! :D
(best time of my life)
