About Me

I'm an adventure loving easy going guy. I am new to couchsurfing but please don't hesitate to message me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I am couch surfing is a very complicated question with a rather simple answer, I'm doing this (or rather wanting to start to do this) to find out who I am. I know it sounds super cheesy, but I find peace and happiness when I'm traveling and there is just a sense of freedom that has an indescribable feeling. I have had many jobs where I am miserable and absolutely hate my job. I have had jobs where its all about the money and making more for someone else and pushing products on people that don't even need them and that is just not me. I feel very fortunate that I have learned this life lesson at such a young age. I can't do "normal" life. By that I mean I can't go to work and sit in a cubical from 9-5 and do mind numbing pointless work. I get bored after about a year or two of anyplace even if I love my job. So I have kind of put together all of these thoughts and goals and decided that I'm going to quite my job and just travel and figure life out as I go.

Interests

My interests are learning every little thing I can about EVERYTHING. I am a sponge for knowledge and learning how other cultures and people live around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is nearly impossible to narrow down because I listen to everything from blues to country to electronic and rock. If I had to pick a genre I would say country. My favorite book is the Power of Now by Eckart Tolle. That book is what opened my mind to a whole new way of living my life and what really started my adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have truly started to accept that everything is not about money. I left the United States two months ago with my friend Todd and took a one way ticket to the middle east, with only $400.00 in my pocket. Since then we have been to three different countries in Europe and reside in Slovakia at the moment. We have hitch hiked, slept under bridges, out in the grass, in hostels and have also been accepted in locals homes. There is no planned destination, only a mission...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you to play blues guitar for sure, and share everything that I know about guitar if you want. Fixing some of the problems on guitar as well.

Learn: Currently, I'm learning French, and it would be awesome if you can teach me.

Share: Love.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Though I can't offer much, I would love to share my experiences as an American and answer any questions you may have. If that isn't enough, you will get the enjoyment of watching me struggle with a foreign language plus I'll probably buy you a meal.
