Hi there! My name is Sarai, and I am a Mexican/American girl who is currently living the amazing experience of studying abroad. I am living in Paris, France, and this is my very first time visiting the beautiful continent of Europe. I got here in the beginning of the year in order to study International Business with a specialization in Management at Essec Business School, and my time to go back to the States is almost here. I fell in love with travelling within the first month of my stay here, and it's incredible to see how beautiful and unique every country I have visited is. I love travel adventures. I am in love with getting to know other people with different cultural backgrounds and with creating the best memories in every place I go to. What I've learned from this unforgettable experience is that travelling and getting out of our comfort zone will allow you to push your limits and grow. I am in love with landscapes, pictures, people, and food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to this website because no one had ever told me about this until now. My friend just told me how convenient and cool it is to have this experience and although my time here is almost over, I think it's not too late to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Interests

Languages - I love learning languages and trying to figure out what people are saying in other languages.

Dance - I used to dance "folklore" (Traditional Mexican dance), Jazz and Hip Hop, but I am currently more into Latin Dance.

Nature - I enjoy doing activities outdoors during my free time, either alone or with company. I love the colour and smell of nature.

Reading - I am currently trying to improve my reading skills with different types of books in varied languages.

Workout - I like to have a healthy lifestyle and exercising frequently, but Paris makes it almost impossible to achieve with all of the French sweets I have around!

Music - I can listen to almost everything. It all depends on what type of mood I am in.

Back in the years when I was a good drinker, I got in a female drinking contest and drank an entire beer in 4 seconds. My prize? A vodka bottle!

Teach, Learn, Share

The phrase "Everything happens for a reason" might be cliché for many people. However, I truly believe that every circumstance you encounter in life has a reason for being. All humans need the worse and best experiences in their journey called life to become the person they are finally meant to be. There is always something good in every bad situation... no matter how bad it is. Why? Because it could always be worse. Remember this: "I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet."

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I already noted, I really enjoy learning and practicing languages. I think it would be funny if we could teach each other languages or, at least, survival phrases we know! :)

I say that humans never stop learning. Therefore, I enjoy interacting with people and exchanging opinions, ideas and experiences about life and other important, but also fun, subjects. I love asking and answering questions too by the way, so be prepared!
