About Me

I'm a fairly shy person early on, but open up quickly when I feel secure. I can be goofy and have a quirky sense of humor. I cook/bake for those I really care about (or people I think would truly enjoy it). I would at a Scottish Bakery and currently live with my parents (thanks, economy!). I'm usually up for anything and am an open book.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like many, I have the dreams of traveling but am living on a tight budget. And when I do travel, I usually stay at a hotel with a stuffy concierge (or none at all, haha) who lacks warm and genuine interest. I look forward to broadening my horizons with the site and connecting with those who are interested in showing the best parts of their city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ben Folds, Mae, Lana del Rae, Fleetwood Mac, City and Colour, Haim, Portishead and pretty much all 90s hip-hop and pop (can't help it!).

Closer, Mean Girls, When Harry Met Sally, Superbad, LOTR, horror movies (awesome and terrible ones, I don't discriminate, haha).

TV shows include The Office, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Walking Dead, Golden Girls and Once Upon A Time.

Moby Dick, Bailey's Cafe, Walk Two Moons, Leaves of Grass, The First Bad Man

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stayed alone in Ireland for a month subletting a 200 year old stone cottage in Donegal county.

Teach, Learn, Share

Working at a Scottish bakery has afforded me the opportunity to learn myriad of new cooking skills. I can make haggis from beginning to end, black pudding and link sausages, and I've develop a love for meat cutting and butchery.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A genuine lust for travel and sightseeing paired with a few great home-cooked meals as a "thank you."

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, England, France, Ireland, Italy
