About Me
👋 Hello!
I’m Chawki, a 30-year-old medical doctor, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner from Blida, Algeria. I’m passionate about people, culture, travel, and making a difference.
I’m a medical doctor currently working in sports medicine, active in humanitarian associations, and founder of a medical training school. I’ve also been involved in health caravans and awareness campaigns for cancer, tobacco, and preventive health.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing because I believe that the best way to discover a place is through its people. I’m not interested in travel that’s limited to hotels and tourist spots — I want to experience local life, share stories, and connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I’m here to meet open-minded travelers and hosts, learn from others, exchange ideas, and create meaningful memories.
Whether it’s over a cup of coffee, a walk around the neighborhood, or a shared meal — I believe that real connections make travel unforgettable.
Couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to turn any trip into a human experience — and I’m excited to start this journey.
Interests
I’m curious about many things — not only in my field of medicine, but also in culture, history, society, and human development.
I love traveling with purpose, meeting new people, and exchanging about cultures, traditions, and ideas. I’m also passionate about volunteering and have been active for years in various humanitarian and medical projects.
I’m very interested in sports, not just for competition but for balance and well-being. I also enjoy art, painting, and creative expression as ways to connect with the world.
More than anything, I care about learning, growing, and sharing meaningful moments with others.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎵 I’m a fan of all good music — anything that vibes well. I listen to almost every genre, from modern to traditional, as long as it moves something inside me.
I also enjoy discovering new instruments, traditional music, and musical cultures from around the world.
🎬 I love movies based on real stories, bestselling books, or those with unexpected, thought-provoking endings. A film that leaves you reflecting long after it ends — that’s my kind of movie.
📚 I enjoy reading about history, culture, self-development, business, religion, and the human experience in all its complexity. I’m always looking for books that help me grow, challenge my thinking, or bring me closer to understanding others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most transformative journeys in my life has been my participation in three AIESEC international exchange programs, which allowed me to live and work abroad while contributing to meaningful local projects. Between 2016 and 2018, I joined three missions that changed the way I see the world:
• 🇵🇱 Poland (2016) — This was my first exchange, focused on cultural and language exchange. I spent time with locals, organized intercultural workshops, and engaged in deep conversations about identity, history, and language. It was a beautiful human experience, full of learning and sharing.
• 🇹🇷 Turkey (2017) — I joined an educational program where I taught basic English to children in local schools. The joy, curiosity, and warmth of the students made every day meaningful. I also immersed myself in Turkish hospitality, food, and culture — and made friendships that still last.
• 🇷🇺 Russia (2018) — This was a completely different challenge: an eco-project focused on environmental awareness and sustainability. I collaborated with international volunteers and Russian locals on nature-based activities and eco-education workshops, discovering a new side of activism and cultural exchange.
In all three countries, I didn’t just visit — I lived there. I stayed with locals, adapted to different lifestyles, and met people from all over the world. These experiences shaped my character and values, made me more open and empathetic, and left me with unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I enjoy most is exchanging about culture, history, and people. I love learning how others live, think, and see the world — and sharing in return what makes Algeria unique: its traditions, its diversity, and its story.
I’m always curious to hear about the local culture, hidden spots, and personal experiences. I can share stories from my country, my travels, and my work in humanitarian and educational projects.
I bring with me curiosity, respect, good energy, and open-mindedness — and I believe that even a short conversation can leave a lasting impact.
