About Me

I am a guy from small town located in the Beskydy mountains in the east part of Czech. It is called Valašské Klobouky (can tell you what it means if you interested :D ). Recently I have lived in Brno, the second biggest Czech city, where I have been studying Economics and Business at university and have part-time job in this field.

Since you are asking: I am 196 cm tall, I played basketball for 6 years at high school, recently I play it only now and then with friends. And the weather up here is nice, thanks for asking.

I am quite calm, prefer decent conversations and like to share and listen interesting opinions. Since I am Czech and we love our beer, this change a bit after few (yeahh I do like beer). I like trying local food, but I am not the best cook myself (But I am used to washing the dishes though).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always loved to talk in English, it is extremely fun thing to do for me for some reason and I try to do it as much as I can and the great way is by traveling. I found Couchsurfing a great way to meet with locals from the place where I travel to and find out new things about their interests, culture and discover with them local spots from their home.

I also like to travel low budget, sometimes hitchhiking, sleeping outside or in my tent, but it is also nice to have a roof about your head now and then and couchsurfing is a great way to do it.

Interests

The place I am from shaped my interests the most. I am from mountains, not really the highest ones, but they are really beautifull with lots of forests and pasture land. I fell in love with snowboarding when I was a kid and it still kind of stick, but I also ski. During summer I ride my bike, hike and I like to camp and play basketball.

I love to read, read a lot of great Czech literature like Kundera or Hrabal, but I also read lots of fantasy, Lord of the Rings, Eragon, Harry Potter. I watch lots of movies and Tv series (thats how I learned English).

Recently I got little bit in to photography and I am trying to improve in it.

Milan Kundera: The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Czech: Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí), The Joke (Czech: Žert)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I surfed in Spain. It is probably not the craziest thing ever, but for me growing up in a country, that does not have a sea, I never even dreamed of doing so and being there in the ocean was crazy and I can not wait to do it again (and I almost crashed into a dolphin :) )

Teach, Learn, Share

Obviously, I can teach you some Czech words. If you travel to Czech you will need them since languages are not our best.

Jedno pivo, prosím!
