Hello! I am Gorkem from Turkey. I am 23 years old tourism student in a lovely touristic country Turkey. I am going to graduate next year but studying is just one of the things I do. I have been working as an English teacher for 3 years thanks to my IELTS certificate from Australia. When I was 19, I lived in Melbourne for 6 months. Besides learning English, I’ve become a different person. It helped me to change my perspective, the way I look to world and so many more. Additionally, for 2 years, I have been working for Izmir fair in various international fairs as a translator and we are hosting people from all around world to have some business here. I worked with many different nations, people and we had great relationships. I deeply respect every race, religion, gender of human beings and I expect the same. This is how we make the world more liveable place. I am a member of Greenpeace as well. At the moment, I am in Spain and I am doing my internship by working in a hotel in a small but historic town Toledo. I am learning Spanish and I get better everyday. My greatest passion in life is travelling for sure. I love discovering places and I do it mostly on my own. I knew Couchsurfing but haven’t actually used before but I’ll try to use it more often. In my hometown, Izmir/Turkey, I’m living alone and I would be happy to host you when I got home!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending time with Kangaroos, Koalas, Tasmanian Devil was the best I’ve ever had. Having a tour in Dubai rivers, eating and drinking in beautiful Greek Islands are some of my favourites as well! I recently got lost in two stunning cities of Spain; Madrid and Valencia! One of the best experiences I’ve had as well.
