I'm Elin, I'm 22 years old and I'm a student in cultural anthropology and English in my last Bachelor semester. My free time consists of various things. Besides studying I'm trying to earn money so that I'm able to travel a lot in my intersemester breaks and after my Bachelor. It might be too obvious to write on a couchsurfing platform... but I really, really like travelling. What I enjoy about it is not only to get to see a new place but the mere Status of being on the road, that's just fabulous! Right now I'm working in a Restaurant and as an assistant in the Institute of cultural anthropology.

What more... ? I'm very much into cultural life, so I like to go to Museums, exhibitions, concerts and the theatre and I also play in a theatre group myself. With my friends I like to hang out in cool bars or also go for a dance in a nice Club from time to time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I already mentioned... I love being in new places! Being on couchsurfing has a double Advantage for me. When I'm travelling myself I can meet locals, which is a new way for me travel and get to know People. I think it's a really nice way to travel in a really interesting and cheap way. And when I'm not travelling myself, I can get the travellers to me by being a host!

Three years ago I came to Basel as a student and I was really eager to get to know the City and all ist hidden places. I think I'm good in finding new and fun places and I enjoy showing the things, which you don't see as a tourist. The same thing when I'm travelling on my own - I love seeing the hidden places!
